PD Dr. med. Sophie Böttcher-Haberzeth, is a Senior Consultant and the Deputy Head of the Pediatric Burn Center, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Children's Hospital Zurich.  She also leads the Skin and Soft Tissue Research Center (SSTaRC) at the University Children's Hospital Zurich, where  she and her team develop skin substitutes for patients with severe skin defects and skin diseases. Her research group combines expertise from basic, translational, and clinical research, in order to transition the products efficiently from bench to bedside and test them in clinical trials.
